Sibling Assignment 2018:8 Dream Trip

This is the Sibling Assignment #193 Bill wrote for us to share:  Write about a dream trip you’d like to take in the United States, even if you don’t think it’ll ever happen. Include where you’d like to go and, if it’s fitting, what time of year you’d like to make the trip. Also discuss why this is your dream. Bill's dream trip is here, and Christy's will be here.

My dream trip would be to the southern part of the United States.  It would be a “follow your roots” kind of trip, to meet relatives on Paul’s side of the family, and on my side of the family.

We would begin our trip in Oklahoma and visiting our friends Andy and Stephanie Broaddus for a few days at their home in Cleora.  Then we would drive the 3-4 hour drive to Harrison, and see if we could track down some of the Roberts relatives that still live in the area.

After spending a few days in Harrison, we would drive to Kentucky and Tennessee to follow the trail of my Dad’s family and find relatives in the Woolum and Wilson family.  We would spend some time in that neck of the woods, and maybe spend a few days in Nashville, and then fly home.

I would probably make this trip in the fall of the year, probably October, when it is probably a little cooler in the southern part of the US.
