I'm okay if I don't have to talk. But when you are in a play, that doesn't help. I sit backstage with my bottles of water, lemon drops and Fisherman's Friend cough drops. That gets me from scene to scene without a coughing fit.
This week I am giving employee evaluations at work, again, involving talking. If I could only not talk during the day, it would feel much better.
Mine has been a dry throat and scratchy cough. The cough seems to be getting worse. I'm not really stuffed up, which is good.
Unlike poor PKR, who stayed home today because he felt as if his head was going to explode.
"Just shoot me and get it over with", he pleaded this morning as he came dragging into the kitchen, his pale pallor blending in with his white sweatshirt. He's gone through bouts of sweating then cold, but he is seeming a bit better at the moment. But he has the stuffy nose and sinus trouble. He heats up his sock full of rice to get relief from his sinus pain, which seems to help. And I think he has a headache, too. I'm glad I insisted he stay home today.
The Princess is sneezing. Z2 and Kiki Aru seem to be okay.
I see my sister InlandEmpireGirl struggled over the weekend with some of the same ailments. She turned to comfort food.
And lemon drops.
Just like me.
Surprise, surprise!

Lemon Drops have never tasted so good in my life... just wait... Raymond Pert will suggest Marmite.
So now a broken sword and broken voice. Have you thought about giving up the stage? :)
