Yes, Silver Valley Girl, There is a Santa Claus

I love Santa Claus.
To me he is real like a character in a great book that becomes real as you read the story.
As I look back on my childhood, Santa Claus was part of the magic of Christmas.

When we had children, the magic returned as we introduced Santa Claus to our kids.
One year we took a pair of boots and covered the bottom of them with coffee grounds, and made footprints on our white carpet in our living room right in front of the fireplace, and had the footprints head towards the plate of cookies,

and the Christmas tree where the presents were left.
We always put a plate of cookies out for Santa and some carrots for his reindeer.
One of my favorite stories about Santa is a true story based on a letter written to a girl named Virginia. You can read all about it
here.

I also have a Santa collection.

It continues to grow every year as family and friends give me Santas to add to my collection.

Here, I'll give you a little peek at some of my collection.

Santa lights around the mirror.

Santa wreath.

Santa and Mrs. Claus made of felt.

A small Santa bench.

A cute Santa welcoming visitors to our home.

Santa mugs.

This Santa stands and greets you as you enter the living room.

A Santa Lamp.

Santa and a little reindeer.

Look at these two cute stuffed St. Nicks.

Santa telling a story.

Two Santas standing tall.

These two jolly fellows watch over the living room up on top of the shelf.

And here is my favorite, Santa kneeling in front of the Baby Jesus.

Here Comes Santa Claus
Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus, Right down Santa Claus Lane,
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer Pullin' on the reins.
Bells are ringin', children singin', All is merry and bright.
So hang your stockings and say your prayers,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus, Right down Santa Claus Lane,
He's got a bag that's filled with toys For boys and girls again.
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle, Oh what a beautiful sight,
So jump in bed, and cover your head,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus, Right down Santa Claus Lane,
He'll come around when chimes ring out, It's Christmas time again.
Peace on earth will come to all, If we just follow the light,
So let's give thanks to the Lord above
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus, Right down Santa Claus Lane,
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer Pullin' on the reins.
Bells are ringin', children singin', All is merry and bright,
So jump in bed, and cover your head,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
Peace on earth will come to all, If we just follow the light,
So let's give thanks to the Lord above
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight,
So let's give thanks to the Lord above
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

How fun to see parts of your collection posted like this... you must have moved into "the light" of decorating. I guess I better get with it. Elvis? Elvis? Didn't anybody else sing this song??? lol
