A-h-h-h-h-h-h...my quiet hotel room

Sunday night I arrived here in Boise for a three day conference to receive training for my new job .

One of the luxuries I am experiencing is a nice, quiet hotel room all to myself.

I can't remember the last time I spent time alone on a trip in a hotel room all to myself.

I'm not responsible for anyone but me.

I can go to bed as early or late as I want.

I can just sit on the bed, stare into space, and veg out.

I can get up when I want and have my own space.
I can eat dinner or not.
I can go swimming, or exercise, or use the whirlpool.

Now, don't get me wrong, on an extended basis, this would drive me nuts. But, for a few days, I'm going to enjoy this alone time in my quiet hotel room.

No one needing me for anything.

Just some time to think, pray, meditate and regroup.

A-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h.

I am just like you. When I go to a conference I will even pay the extra to have a room so I can do just what you are doing. I hope you have wireless also.

Wow, that's a nice room. Definitely not the Holiday Inn Express. Is it the Grove downtown?

IEG--Oh yes, I have wireless, too.

Phil--No, this is the Doubletree Club on Parkcenter Blvd. Yes, it is very nice. I'm enjoying the stay alot.

Ahhh. . .nice! Reminds me of the empty nest stage. (Now)

I miss the girl's activities and having their friends over. . .but I have all the amenities to myself!
