#95--My Tree--Early September Light

Happy we who can bask in this warm September sun,
which illumines all creatures,
as well when they rest as when they toil,
not without a feeling of gratitude;
whose life is as blameless,
how blameworthy soever it may be,
on the Lord’s Mona-day as on his Suna-day.
- Henry David Thoreau

I'm pathetic.

I've only been gone since Tuesday and already I ache for the sight of North Idaho warm September light, especially as it casts long shadows in your backyard. That light is so easy on the eyes. Maybe I'll find some of it here in Eugene.

Note to self: "Be open minded."

What a great quote about September. The picture is lovely. I took some great tree pictures on my recent road trip. Maybe I will send one for a guest post.
