Gathering Graces 4/11/2020 Easter Caroling, Coloring Eggs and Talking to Girls

Since we could not be with our church family on Easter morning, we decided to bring a little church to our church family (and other friends and family) by singing some Easter songs to them, and dropping off a little bag of goodies.  Paul, Zoe, Jason and I had a wonderful time singing to others, though it was hard to not give hugs to everyone!

When we got home, Zoe was ready to have us color some eggs.  We each got two eggs each to color. One of Paul's eggs was my favorite!!

I had mentioned to Zoe about how much fun it had been one year, when we lived up on McKinley Avenue next to the Staff House Museum, that we put clues in the plastic Easter eggs and had the girls do an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt around our yard and the Museum yard.  She had no recollection of this particular hunt, but as she was going through plastic Easter eggs, she found one of the clues.

So she decided she needed to call her sisters to see if they remembered this hunt.  Molly did.  Coco didn't.

I have always enjoyed coloring Easter eggs with my girls and doing the Easter egg hunt on Easter morning.  As they got older they started not coming home for Easter, and that is one part of Easter I really enjoyed...whether they were finding the eggs, or we were.  But little girls grow up and have lives of their own.  It is just a part of life....a part that kind of sucks sometimes.
